a. On the onset, never give out personal information e.g. your home address, telephone or cellphone number, your workplace, or your school.

b. Never ever agree to meet just yet with someone you just meet online on the first and second day of chat. If ever you'll going to meet the person, be sure to meet him/her in a public place and bring a companion with you.

c. Don't send pictures just yet. Try to know the person more especially if you want to forge is a serious relationship. Don't make him think you are easy by sending nude pictures of yours. Just create a little bit of mystery and for sure he'll chase you.

d. If for example you come across with rude or nasty messages or in any way you feel uncomfortable delete the person in your contact pronto. Block him/her and never communicate with the same person over again.

e. Do say hi and be polite when you enter the chat room.

g. Be nice, be witty and be real. Do spend a few minutes reading your response before hitting the enter button. Be aware of spelling errors and grammar.

h. Never use all caps when chatting to someone especially if you are pretty interested to the person. Using all CAPS is rude and it is considered yelling.

i. Never ever type like this: \"hELLo hOw ArE yOu?\" It's not cute, and yes it's a huge turn off. Also avoid random text or numbers because this might annoy your prospect in an instant. Unless you too jibe and love to talk gibberish.

j. Never use dirty or foul language in chat room. Some are often expelled or banned from doing so and never permitted to enter the chat room anymore. In addition, this will create a negative impression to you.

k. Don't be a spammer. In short don't flood the chat room with your undying declaration of admiration to a certain prospect. Apart from being auto-expelled in the room, sure the girl or boy you're chatting will block you in his/her lists.

l. Follow every rules and regulations for a certain chat room. Feel free to contact the administrator or host of a chat room if you got questions.

m. Never disrespect other chatters especially if they don't respond to you. Understand that some people are simply not interested. Respect them and move on.

n. If you feel like your privacy is violated and the chatter keeps on bugging you with nonsense banter, add him in the ignore lists.
